(Hebrews 13:17) says, “Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.”

The NLT says it like this, “Obey your spiritual leaders, and do what they say. Their work is to watch over your souls, and they are accountable to God. Give them reason to do this with joy and not with sorrow. That would certainly not be for your benefit.”

(Ephesians 4:11-12) says, “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:”

The NLT says it like this, “Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. 12 Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.”

Your PASTOR IS NOT THE ENEMY! Your PASTOR, according to the Word of God, is a GIFT FROM GOD! We MUST allow the man of God to CORRECT us the same way we allow him to encourage us!

A lot of people in this hour want a Pastor’s BLESSING on THEIR DECISION, but do NOT want a Pastor’s DIRECTION or COUNSEL if it disagrees with what they have already decided to do!

The Tragedy of an UNSUBMITTED spirit is that it ALWAYS ends in TRAGEDY!

(James 4:7) says, “SUBMIT to God and RESIST the devil” but sadly many, even in the church, seem to be RESISTING GOD and SUBMITTING to the devil!

The antonyms of submission are to DISOBEY; FIGHT; or RESIST! Did you catch that? Those who are not submissive are the ones who are disobedient; always looking for a fight; resisting what they have been told to do, even know they should do.

The Tragedy of an UNSUBMITTED spirit is that it ALWAYS ends in TRAGEDY! ALWAYS.
